If you know of an firm that should be listed here, please let me know. Thanks.
The Bookcase is always a regular stop when I visit Carlisle. Just up the street from the Carlisle castle, its almost across the street from Tullie House and a short walk from the library. They usually seem to have a good selection of Cumbria titles.

Just down the street, at 56 Castle Street, is the associated shop, Bookends which handles new titles, with Cumbria a speciality. The web site, though, contains a search capability for out of print and antiquarian books from the stock at Bookends and they indicate that additional such titles are being added. Bookends also has a location in Keswick.
Bryan Peet is one Cumbria bookseller with electronic access and purchases may be made via e-mail. He maintains an excellent stock of titles of interest to the genealogist; on a recent visit, I saw several Bulmer's Directories and bought a 1847 Mannix & Whellan I had been searching for. Almost all of his stock seemed in good condition, so expect most to be priced accordingly.
This shop is well worth a visit if you're in the area and certainly contact him if you're seeking a specific title. The shop is not out on the main street and can be a bit difficult to find. Like me, you'll probably have to ask.
Some of his inventory may be searched at http://www.abebooks.com/home/EWENKERR/

Michael Moon is noted for the volumes he reprints. He also runs a large store, stocking many Cumbria titles:
