Surnames and Researchers in Excel Format
Subscribers to the Cumberland Mailing List at Rootsweb have created a simple, alphabetical, listing of the surnames they are interested in from England's County of Cumberland which represents a quick indication of what names list members are chasing. Corrections or additions should be submitted to Gerald Sandwith or on the CUL list.
If you do not have Microsoft's Excel, a free Excel
Viewer is available. The Microsoft download page indicates that the current
viewer requires Windows XP. You may be able to find the version for Win 98/ME
somewhere on the net, but Microsoft only offers the XP version.One such site,
reportedly once having a reader for earlier Windows versions, was http://www.nkfd.org/Excel.html We
have no knowledge of the validity of the link or the suitability of the viewer.
